Dr. Mikao Usui received the Enlightened Wisdom of Reiki healing energy on Mt. Kuriyama in 19th century Japan during an extended fast and meditation. A great wellspring of Reiki energy issued through the spark of his enlightenment. Dr. Usui recovered the "lost" knowledge of how to access and transmit the Life Force Energy called Reiki through Hands-on Healing. From this wellspring, a great river of Peace and healing has flowed through the teachers and students who were (and are) blessed to receive Reiki empowerment. All Reiki lineage issues from that sacred source and it flows through the hands of Reiki Masters and practitioners of all nations, cultures and religions to this very day.
